I have played around in this area before and I remember from a few years ago that vendors could, would or might look at some fields in the communication data structures that would identify among other things whether the underlying supplicant OS was Android, for instance. I am trying to decide whether to buy a sixfab unit or just cave and get a carrier provided unit which I suppose is not one that would be mistreated by some anti-competitive and possibly covert and hard to prove rule set. I hope I have been sufficiently obscure in asking about this. I’ve not noticed that kind of throttling problem myself as far as I know. Is there anything to it?
