Raspberry Pi 3G/4G & LTE Base HAT not listed

Hi, I’m recently buyed a LTE Base Hat and I’m trying to connect to a Raspberry pi 3 but the device isn’t in the USB listed on the pi. The only thing that missing in my side is the sim card. I’m expected at least that the device appear in the pi.

Best Regards,
Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,

What is the current version of your kernel? Could you please provide the output of the following command:

uname -sr
lsusb -t
sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/usb/devices
dmesg | grep tty

Also, try with another USB cable.

Here is the info.

Hi,

Just noticed your kernel version is too old. Please try a newer kernel. You can use the following commands to update the kernel version on your Raspberry Pi.

  • sudo apt update
  • sudo rpi-update

Then reboot the Raspberry Pi.

  • sudo reboot

Updated now .
I can see this WWAN0

But, still doesn’t appear in th list below as mention in the docs.

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ uname -sr
Linux 5.4.77-v7+
pi@raspberrypi:~ $ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 2c7c:0125
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMSC9512/9514 Fast Ethernet Adapter
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp.
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub

EC25 has VID = 0x2c7c and PID = 0x0125.The vendor ID and product ID are correct. USB connection OK. Also, the driver installed correctly.

Please go on your test.

Thanks!
