While installing the cooling fan I noticed that the metal screw heads touch the top of the circuit board and there are many traces immediately underneath the heads. There is a thin layer of some kind of insulation over the traces, but I’m concerned that tightening the screws may abrade that insulation and short the traces to the metal heads.
I think there should be a nylon washer placed between the screw heads and the circuit board.
