PPP connection is not established

The hat is used in Hong Kong NBIoT network. PPP connection is not established. May I seek your help to verify the configuration?

Hi,

Do you have enabled your serial?
What is the behavior of the LEDs?

Both green / red led lights are on. When I grep dmesg, ttyS0 is found.

i@raspberrypi:/boot $ dmesg | grep ttyS
[ 0.000000] Kernel command line: coherent_pool=1M 8250.nr_uarts=1 cma=64M cma=256M smsc95xx.macaddr=DC:A6:32:4E:BC:76 vc_mem.mem_base=0x3ec00000 vc_mem.mem_size=0x40000000 console=tty1 root=PARTUUID=6c586e13-02 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait

[ 0.846412] fe215040.serial: ttyS0 at MMIO 0x0 (irq = 36, base_baud = 62500000) is a 16550

When I press the reset switch manually, the blue led light is flashing. The ppp connection is seemed to be established but I can’t get the IP address.

Hi @david.fung,

Please share the output of dmesg | grep ttyUSB
Which SIM do you use? BG96 Specification

Thank you for your support. The issue was caused by the mobile operator.

OK.

If you have any other questions, just let me know and I’ll be happy to help.

Best regards.

Hello, I’ve read through this thread and could use a little clarification. I have a Raspberry 3+ with a Cellular IoT Hat v1.1.0. I have a temp/humidity sensor using SPI and a PMS7003 using UART. Everything works with a caveat. I can read all sensor data (SPI and UART) with the IoT Hat installed on the RPI pins and microUSB. I’m only able to send via cellular when the PMS7003 is disconnected from the UART pins. Regarding comments discussing soldering and/or de-soldering SJ7 & SJ8, do I need to cut the traces for SJ7 and/or SJ8 in order to use serial AT commands to send sensor data (SPI and UART) via cellular?

Hi,

Cutting SJ7, SJ8 traces is not applicable for v1.1.0
