How to download a basic resource from public URL?

Well, as expected, I found the answer right after posting the question here:

Any update on this? I was going to switch to MQTT but since it might suffer of the same (timeout?) issue, I did not test it, yet. It’s frustrating, the 60$ device is not suitable to my use case at the moment :-/

I updated my device with the dev branch of the SDK, which seems to resolve my issue. Onto the next problem to solve.
